@AMY Hi, there! We hope you'll be able to make it to Fall Creek Falls on June 22. Yes, Astronomy in the Parks will be set up with several telescopes on the field up the hill from the Inn. There is no charge for observing with us. The only charges you would incur would be if you stayed at the Inn, ate at the restaurant, etc. There will be solar observing near the Inn during the day and observing and instruction on the field around 6PM. Call me with questions: 615-785-7104

@ Gary B: The star party is 4/20-4/22 for everyone. We will be observing both Friday and Saturday evenings. You can observe all night if you so desire -- we will have non-astronomers earlier in the evening (showing the passers by and park guests the heavens). Come on over, we would love to have you. All you need to do is make a reservation at the Inn and pay for that as well as your food. Or you can just come up for observing and observe all night and not worry about sleeping -- however you wish. There may be some camp sites available, you'd have to contact the park. The observing field is about 1/8 - 1/4 mile up the hill from the Inn. Feel free to call me at 615-785-7104. No camping allowed on the observing field, but you could "rest" in your car. No tents, though. No RVs up on the field. It is a concrete slab used for scout meetings and other park functions. Great, dark skies.

@ Tim You can contact us secretary@cumberlandastronomicalsociety.org or you can call me at 615.785.7104. We have meetings on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Vol State Comm College in Gallatin. You can chose to attend the meeting or go to one of our other events listed on the events page of the site. We're a great group of amateurs who would welcome you with open arms -- and equipment cases :) Hope to see you soon! Call me if you have questions.
